Lockout program audit content

Specifically refers to the establishment of different equipment, system based on the Lockout tagout safety procedures (such as domestic safety maintenance procedures, electrical maintenance operating procedures), so as to effectively control the dangerous energy, and implement the listing and locking, to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment. In some enterprises in Europe and the United States, in order to ensure the safety of maintenance, commissioning and engineering operations, LOTO system is widely used. The card mentioned in it is the common “human maintenance/operation, do not start/close” card. The mentioned locks (special locks) include:
LOCKOUT HASPS – for locking;
BREAKER LOCKOUT – Special for electrical lock:
VALV LOCKOUT – The valve is locked;
PLUG BUCK (ETS)- Electrical plug locks, etc.

The locking procedure must be audited by the head of the department concerned to ensure that the procedure is carried out. The Industrial Safety Officer should also conduct spot checks on the procedure, including:
Was the staff informed when the lock was closed?
Have all sources of energy been turned off, eliminated and locked?
Are locking tools available and in use?
Has the employee verified that the energy has been eliminated?
When the machine is repaired and ready to start
Have employees stepped away from machines?
Are all tools, etc. cleared?
Has the protection device returned to operation?
Is it unlocked by the employee who locked it?
Were other employees notified that the lock had been lifted before the machine resumed operation?
Are qualified employees aware of all machines and equipment and their locking procedures and methods?
