Lockout/tagout training

1. Each department must train employees to ensure that they understand the purpose and function of Lockout/ Tagout procedures. Training includes how to identify energy sources and hazards, as well as methods and means of isolating and controlling them.

2. The training will be updated and reviewed annually. In addition, if any incorrect understanding of the procedures is found during the execution of the audit, additional training shall be provided at any time.

3. Maintain all training records to confirm their timeliness. The records shall include the employee’s name, work number, training date, training teacher and training place and shall be kept for three years.

4. The annual training program includes the qualification certificate of the employee; Provide annual qualification audit; It also includes new equipment, new hazards and new processes in the program.

Contractors and outside service personnel

1. Contractors working at the plant must be informed of Lockout/tagout procedures. The department using the contractor must ensure that the contractor understands and follows the steps necessary to meet the requirements of the program and is documented.

2. Authorized personnel of the company may provide contractor with equipment and system locking with the approval of the Plant director.

3. If the affected departments and personnel are aware of the temporary operation work to be carried out, the Project Engineer is authorized to put up and remove his safety badge for the new equipment during pilot operation or equipment testing prior to transfer to the plant.

4. The department using the contractor is responsible for the notification, compliance and inspection of the procedure.

5. Similarly, contractor records of notification, compliance and training of the procedure are maintained for three years.
