LOTO Machine protection – Red, yellow and green labels
Red:
1. Stopped machine (not emergency stop)
2. Fully execute LOTO
3. Open the protective device
4. Perform job activities
5. Close the protective device, the operator in a safe position, remove the lock, reset and restart the machine.
Yellow:
1. Stopped machine (not emergency stop)
2. Open the movable protection device (trigger the safety protection system function)
3. Use tools to perform job activities
4. Close the protective device, reset and restart the equipment
Green:
1. Stopped machine (not emergency stop)
2. Open the movable protection device (trigger the safety protection system function)
3. Perform job activities
4. Close the protective device, reset and restart the equipment
Indicates that the protective device is a fixed protective device without interlock protection
LOTO must be performed if the guard is to be turned on
It indicates that the protection is interlocking protection and the protection level is low
If you want to open the guard, you need to see the contents of the operation:
Scheduled jobs that require LOTO to be performed
Unplanned operation, downtime + protective gear + tools /PPE
It indicates that the protective device is protected by interlock and has a higher protection level.
