Preparing for Device Isolation
Each Lockout/ Tagout job has documented procedures to identify safe ways to prepare for device isolation.
Procedures must be signed by the primary authorized person (production department) who is responsible for shutting down and locking equipment.
Procedures should include P&ID drawings, marking isolation and emptying locations, or sketches for simple operations.
Interim procedures can be found in the LTCT standard at the factory.
