Secure access to the inside of the machine and Lockout tagout testing

1.Purpose:
Provide guidance on locking potentially hazardous equipment and procedures to prevent accidental start-up of machinery/equipment or sudden release of energy/media from injuring employees.

2.scope of application:
Applicable to all employees and contractors of ANheuser-Busch InBev supply chain and primary logistics in China. This procedure applies to the daily operation of the production process, including the maintenance, repair, sanitation of machinery and equipment, as well as the release of energy that may cause harm to employees.
The execution of this energy control procedure is to ensure that the machine or equipment has been isolated or stopped in accordance with this procedure before any employee performs any work task on the machine or equipment and that the employee will not be harmed by unexpected energy recovery, startup or release of stored energy.

Responsibilities:
It is the responsibility of every supervisor to ensure that all employees are trained on locking procedures and that they are used correctly at work.
It is the employee’s responsibility to determine and understand that the equipment is properly locked before work begins on the equipment. Employees who fail to follow this procedure will be subject to disciplinary action by the company. Any employee assigned to perform maintenance, repair, hygiene of machinery and equipment, as well as work injury resulting from the release of stored energy and hazardous sources, must comply with all steps of the procedure to ensure his/her personal safety.

The judgment of LOTOTO
The factory needs to carry out risk assessment for different machines to determine which jobs are subject to SAM process and which tasks are subject to LOTOTO process. Simple judgment methods are as follows:

For simple operations that only involve electrical energy, follow THE SAM process; Otherwise follow the LOTOTO process. Simple operation refers to the tasks that meet these requirements in the process of production, using small tools, routine and repeated operations that are indispensable to the operation of production equipment and have effective protection measures. These tasks are called simple operations.

If two or more people are involved in the operation, or the whole body enters the machine, all operators need to perform the SAM lock process. Each operator should lock and take a key. If the key is not opened, the equipment cannot be started.

There are several ways to lock, in the following order of priority:
For the palletizing and unloading machine with the key interception equipment, the interception key can be put into the lock box, the operator in the lock box lock;
Lock the isolation (service) switch on the control panel
Lock the emergency stop on the control panel
Use the key on the emergency stop of the control panel (but make sure that the keys on different emergency stop switches are not universal, if they are, they cannot be used)
Lock the device on the protective door to prevent accidental closing of the door
Use the key that comes with the control panel, or lock it
