Gear pump
1. Repair procedures
1.1 Preparations:
1.1.1 Correctly select disassembly tools and measuring tools;
1.1.2 Whether the disassembly procedure is correct;
1.1.3 Whether the process methods used are appropriate and conform to the technical specifications;
1.1.4 External inspection of parts can be carried out correctly;
1.1.5 Whether the finishing of tools after disassembly is in accordance with the specifications;
1.1.6 Whether the measurement data analysis and conclusions are correct.
2. Maintenance steps:
2.1 Cut off the power supply of the motor, and mark the Lockout tag “Equipment maintenance, no closing” on the electrical control box.
2.2 Close the suction and discharge stop valves on the pipeline.
2.3 Unscrew the plug on the discharge outlet, let out the oil in the pipe system and pump, and then remove the suction and discharge pipes.
2.4 Loosen the end cover screw on the output shaft side with an inner hexagon wrench (mark the joint between the end cover and the body before loosening) and take out the screw.
2.5 Gently pry the end cover loose along the joint surface between the end cover and the body with a screwdriver, pay attention not to pry too deep, so as not to scratch the sealing surface, because the sealing is mainly achieved by the processing accuracy of the two sealing surfaces and the unloading groove on the sealing surface of the pump body.
2.6 Remove the end cover, take out the main and driven gears, and mark the corresponding positions of the main and driven gears
2.7 Clean all removed parts with kerosene or light diesel and place them in containers for safekeeping for inspection and measurement.
3. Gear pump installation
3.1 Load the two shafts of the well-meshed main and driven gears into the bearing of the left (not the output shaft side) end cover. When assembling, they shall be loaded in accordance with the marks made by disassembly and must not be reversed.
3.2 Close the right end cover and tighten the screws. When tightening, the driving shaft should be rotated and symmetrical tightened to ensure uniform and consistent end clearance.
3.3 Install the compound coupling, install the motor well, align the coupling well, adjust the coaxiality to ensure flexible rotation.
3.4 If the pump is properly connected with the suction and discharge pipe, is it flexible to rotate by hand again?
4. Precautions for maintenance
4.1 Prepare removal tools in advance.
4.2 The screws should be unloaded symmetrically.
4.3 Marks should be made when disassembling.
4.4 Pay attention to the damage or collision of parts and bearings.
4.5 Fasteners shall be disassembled with special tools and shall not be knocked at will.
