By what means is isolation performed – isolation devices and management procedures
Energy isolator – a mechanical device capable of preventing the transfer or release of dangerous energy and materials from hardware, such as circuit disconnecting switches, power disconnecting or safety switches, pipe valves, blind plates, mechanical blockages or similar devices for blocking or isolating energy.
Management procedures – e.g., energy control plan, Lockout tagout test procedure, corresponding training for staff, etc.

What is an energy isolation device
Isolation can be defined as “disconnecting the energy supply in a safe manner, ensuring that the energy source is not inadvertently reconnected.”
Note: pause buttons, toggle switches and other relay control switches cannot be used as power cutoff devices.
